A Phenomenological Study on the Experience of Healing Process of the Alcoholics passed down through Generations

Abstract
This study investigated the growth process and loss of control over alcohol of children of the alcohol addictions and examined the process of recovery and find out the meaning of the experiential essence of alcoholic addicts. For this purpose, data analysis of phenomenological studies using Giorgi¡¯s method was conducted to find out 106 meaning units among three people who have been experiencing 1-3 year-old stopped alcoholism and then divided into 37 sub-components and finally into 12 categories. As a result of this study, in the growth process of the children of the alcoholics was found that the unerased scar due to parental abuse and the influence of alcoholism persisted. In addition, the alcoholics passed down generation were seeking the hope of life by repeating attempt to stop with the help of social support system to overcome these genetic and environmental factors. This will serve as a basis for various quantitative researches related to the toxic alcohol intoxication in the future and will contribute to breaking the vicious cycle of alcohol poisoning and provide basic data for the development of prevention and treatment program of alcoholism.
